Out of School Club

OSC-opening-photo

The extended club has been running since September 2000, offering places for breakfast and after school. We provide an open door policy enabling parents to bring their children at short notice, should a last minute emergency occur.

Children are supervised by experienced qualified staff, with a child-adult ration of 9 to 1. Each session has a minimum of two staff at any one time.

We have a fantastic purpose built unit within the school grounds, which includes an ICT/X-Box Suite, a TV room (The quiet room) and of course we utilise our impressive outdoor area wherever possible.

Parent Quotes

OSC-1
“As an only child my son mixes with all age groups which gives him friends throughout school but also the awareness of needs of younger children and fosters a culture of responsibility as you find with siblings.

Parents are always greeted morning and night with friendly, cheerful, positive inclusion.”

“I leave my son at out of school club in a morning without a second thought because it is like family, trusted. My son comes and goes with the same content attitude.”

“Lucas really enjoys his time in the Out of School Club. He enjoys making friends and playing with children from other years. For me the flexibility is great.”

“Nick loves going to the OOSC which he’s been attending now for four years. It gives us peace of mind knowing that he is in safe hands, being properly looked after and just as important… having a great time with his friends!”

“Home from Home; like extended family, as a working single mum the out of school club offers me a friendly, safe, reliable and affordable child care option. For my son it provides fun, secure, positive and caring environment.”

A Safe and Stimulating Environment

We pride ourselves in offering a safe and stimulating environment where parents/carers feel confident leaving their children to play and participate in activities. All the club’s staff work within the school so the children are familiar and comfortable during each session.  Our older pupils in Key Stage two embrace the youngest members of the group forming solid friendships and encouraging their confidence as they develop.

OFSTED Comments November 2011

‘The out-of-school provision makes a very strong contribution to the well-being of pupils who attend. Pupils comment that the breakfasts prepare them well for the start of the day and they enjoy playing outside at the end of the day.’
